Sorbents for Gas Separation

A new technology based on oxygen-selective sorbent materials and pressure swing adsorption (PSA) could cost-effectively produce industrial gases, such as oxygen and nitrogen. Purification applications where oxygen is removed from argon, helium, and nitrogen streams offer early potential commercial opportunities. This technology potentially requires less energy for gas separation compared to conventional techniques and can provide
high-purity gases at lower cost.
